Cavium to demonstrate flagship 48 core ARMv8 based ThunderX™ family of Workload Optimized Processors for Data Center and Cloud Infrastructure
SAN JOSE, Calif., November 17, 2014 – Cavium, Inc., (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for enterprise, data center, cloud, service provider wired and wireless networking, will be showcasing a comprehensive silicon demo of their 48 core ARM-based ThunderX family of workload optimized processors at this year's SC14 conference taking place at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, from November 16–21.
The demonstrations at Cavium Booth #1153 will include ThunderX running:
- Operating Systems including Red Hat Linux, Canonical Ubuntu Server Distribution
- Applications including Java 8 and Apache Web Server
In addition, Cavium's industry standard 1U and 2U customer reference platforms will be on display.
