SSH AND CAVIUM TEAM TO STRENGTHEN INTERNET SECURITY INFRASTRUCTURE SOLUTIONS

PALO ALTO and SAN JOSE, CA - Sept. 10, 2001 - SSH Communications Security (HEX:SSH1V), a world-leading developer of Internet security solutions, and Cavium Networks, a fabless semiconductor company enabling the new Internet security infrastructure, today announced that SSH's award-winning IPSec (Internet Protocol Security) technology will work with Cavium Networks' network security processors. Cavium Networks selected to support SSH IPSEC Express toolkit because of its high-performance, scalability and quick time-to-market.

"Cavium Networks' goal is to propel security infrastructure into the 21st century," said Syed Ali, president and CEO of Cavium Networks. "Our vision of a totally secure and trusted Internet is enhanced when we work with leading software vendors such as SSH to provide customers with a robust, high-performance and flexible solution."

Today's IP networks carry billions of dollars worth of commercial transactions, intellectual property and other data, which can be compromised. To secure this data, networking equipment must be able to process security protocols like IPsec and SSL at wire speed. Cavium Networks has developed a family of custom security processors that address the complete range of security processing requirements for network devices such as routers, switches, load balancers, content switches and firewalls. Cavium Networks unique processors are built from the ground up to deliver the performance, functionality and flexibility that system designers need to build world-class secure network infrastructure equipment. By leveraging SSH's IPSec technology with Cavium Networks products, system vendors will have a complete solution to implement ubiquitous security among networking devices.

"SSH is committed to the continued advancement of IPSec technology and its ability to provide comprehensive security to IP networks," said George Adams, president and CEO, SSH Inc. "We are very pleased to partner with innovators like Cavium Networks to help OEMs deliver high-performance products for security infrastructure that will scale to meet the needs of tomorrow's Internet Infrastructure."
